Roma agreed on a three-year contract with Andrea Belotti

With less than two weeks remaining until they begin their campaign, Roma are reportedly closing in on another important transfer market acquisition.

The Gazzetta scribe reports that Giallorossi has already agreed to a three-year deal with Italian striker Andrea Belotti, paying him roughly €2.8 million (net) with a series of performance incentives to see that figure increase to €3.5 million.

The 28-year-old Italian is currently a free agent after his contract expired with the Granata earlier this month, ending a seven-year association with the Turin side. He was heavily linked with a transfer to Valencia and Villarreal earlier this summer but a move ultimately failed to materialize, leaving him unattached still.

Jose Mourinho had a chat with the striker on the phone and both expressed their satisfaction for working with each other. Signs are pointing in the right direction regarding the move.

They’re hoping to finalize his arrival within this week, once Eldor Shomurodov has completed his loan move to Bologna.
